"This poster by Pei-Ling Ou says a lot in a small yellow and black illustration. Freedom of speech is an essential human right, and yet so many people are stripped of it. It’s time for us to stand up and defend our right."
designer unknown- I think this is a beautiful design. I love the variation in the light size, it creates a nice flow from the top the bottom of the piece. The biggest light is close to the middle, which draws the viewers attention to the center. The background is also a very dark navy, which complements the yellow.
This is one of the posters I researched for the poster assignment. The blocks are balanced very well. The colors of them also showcase the fun of the concert. The focus of the poster is the pink block in the middle, the eye then goes to "Kings of Leon."
4 Color: The colors of the Earth are all here and particularily vibrant. The color of the background is very dark, probably to make the rest of the color pop like in Figure 6-24 of our readings. This ad has a message for the entire world; the analogy is that temperatures are rising and melting like an ice-cream cone. This symbol is relatable because at least in Western culture, we all grew up knowing what ice-cream is. WWF ad
