Concept villas for golf and spa resort, Dubrovnik, by Zaha Hadid Architects. The concepts, named "Rock" (top) and "Shell" (above), have been developed to help define the architectural style of the resort, which will eventually consist of 400 villas plus hotels and a golf course.
Zaha Hadid is an Iraqi-British Architect (1950-). She is the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize for Architecture in its 26 year history. Zaha Hadid has defined a radically new approach to architecture by creating buildings with multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry to evoke the chaos of modern life. Hadid shatters both the classically formal, rule bound modernism and the old rules of space - walls, ceilings, front and back, right angles.
