This is a Roman-designed column style that combines the Greek-designed Ionic and the Corinthian orders of architecture. The Arch of Titus may be the first instance of this Roman Order of Architecture in the first century AD.

With its tall columns and pediments, painted plaster exterior on the front, horizontal transom, moldings and intricate embellishment, this homes does a great job of portraying Greek Revival's original model -- the Parthenon.
GREEK REVIVAL ~ Main House Andalusia, located near Philadelphia, is one of the most widely noted Greek Revival houses in the country and features many of the hallmarks of this architectural style. Designed in 1835 by Thomas U. Walter, the main house at Andalusia is dominated by a monumental, temple facade and colonnade, or a long sequence of columns.
