Not at all. It is asking why, if I am going to be dead in a week, why go to work today? If atheists are right, the end of everything is the end of everything; at that time nothing we have done will make a difference
This is one reason why keeping religion - ALL religion - out of government is important. And government neutrality on the issue of religion is NOT the functional equivalent of promoting atheism. It is the government taking no sides on the issue of religion, so all may make their protected choice.
